There is just one more that really could do with a fix and thats the corp details editing. When you fill this in or try to delete some parts of the text it "duplicates" alot of the text already there and causes it to get jumbled up and in most cases you have to rewrite the whole thing to correct it.
It does this with the Bio and notepad too.
Have you filed a bug report? Could you please provide more detailed reproduction steps, I haven't been able to produce the behavior you describe neither in corp details editing, bio nor notepad.

Have you checked your shortcut settings? By default close window is bound to Ctrl-W while closing the game is bound to Ctrl-Q, you can change the shortcut bindings in the Esc menu on the Shortcuts tab.

The longer you go on releasing patches which install on an individuals client, the more mess this will probably lead to. The main issue MUST be to get TQ stable, and then look at each seperate bug report. All you are doing is releasing individual patches which are curing (supposedly) a certain number of users. You are not fixing the main problem.
It is worth nothing that the updates are incremental, so each new update will contain all the previously released updates as well.

The getting this default size and location issue remains, as does accessing evemail crashing the game if u have more than 5 pages bug. And why does TQ keep swtiching to unknown status any ideas ? response maybe
I wasn't aware of a crash issue related to large mail boxes, nor an issue with TQ switching to unknown state, but I will investigate.

Im trying this every 2 minutes now if im lucky to get to char selection it either loads the name but not the pics if it loads the pics i can spam click on enter game and the toon and nothing happens and its very very slow ( SISI is working clear as a bell and i have plenty of net speed so no its not that)
Ive gotten into game twice the instation screen loads once i was able to type something bu tthats as far as ive gotten before the game comes crashing out like all and nothing a sundry
Have you tried with different characters/user accounts and clearing your cache and settings? Can you please file a bug report (from the web site if you can't get far enough in-game) with any details you can think of.

So to confirm that my understanding is correct, you had connection issues with the latest update, removed it and still had issues, installed again and still had issues? Can you please also file a bug report with as much information as possible.

Ok thanks. We haven't been able to reproduce the double overview issue in a test environment, but we had a theory to what could cause it that was addressed in update #3 and that seemed to fix it for most players. If you are still seeing this issue then please file a bug report, describing the steps that cause the overview to double. Again we haven't been able to reproduce the issue, so we would appreciate as much detail as possible about your scenario.

Well believe it or not, I actually don't see this happening where I'm trying this right now. So things like, are you in a fleet, do all types in the overview show double, or is it perhaps only pilots, or even only fleet members. Those are the kind of details that I had in mind. That being said, I haven't had a chance to sync up on this issue with the people working on it today, so I don't know if they have a repro on it or how it's progressing.

In that case it is highly likely that the update was not correctly applied. I suggest you go the General Settings in the ESC menu and uninstall the optional patch if you have that option. Then (or straight away if you don't have the uninstall option) select to install it again.

I managed to remove the optional patch, then reinstalled it and still have the same issue with corp members having blue stars instead of green. I never thought to check after uninstall the star colours so that will be my next step, but I could have sworn they were fixed one previous optional patch.
Edit: Unfortunately my corp all still appear with blue stars even after the optional patch removal. Don't suppose these are cached? Does my PC need a restart between un/install? Was definately green a day or two ago (fixed from blue after 1st patch).

That's very strange and I haven't seen any other reports of this, nor can I see it myself. And there shouldn't be any need for a restart or cache clearing in this context. Maybe a silly question, but are you absolutely sure that those characters are still in your corporation, or that you're logged on with the character that is in the same corporation?

Also just noticed that the lovely open scanner "HONK" noise is also back - which means that when I've removed the optional patch it has removed ALL the optional patches - coz this was definately fixed on the very first one.
I'm going to re-install the latest patch and await further fixes coz that HONK is driving me nuts. 
Ok, well it was worth checking Have you also checked the colors and priority in your overview settings?

Thanks for your help - however I am still getting the double overview thing a few times a day and a couple of other minor things others have mentioned. So keep those patches comin'!

After that first update, things seem to work properly.
There are more annoying details but I'm getting used to working around and with an unpolished interface hoping things get better with the next dealio.
Thanks for your feedback, we haven't stopped fixing things and I'll make sure this gets looked at. And yes, I too hope we're getting there with the double overview issue.

Well it IS a known bug, even if we don't have a reproducible scenario. And we are working very hard on finding the cause so that we can do a proper fix. We have a theory at the moment that looks quite promising, we added some extra logging for tonight's mass test that we hope can confirm the theory and following that we can hopefully squash this bug once and for all. But this has proven to be an incredibly elusive issue and we're at a point where programmers are even dreaming about it in their sleep.
